Spring concerts
The Fundación Marjal, together with other institutions, is sponsoring the Spring Concerts organised by the University of Alicante (UA).
This academic institution has programmed a total of four concerts featuring its Philharmonic Orchestra (OFUA) to be held in March. Two of these performances are part of the ‘VEU solidaria’ campaign and will be for charity, with the money raised going towards funding APSA (Alicante Association for Mentally Disabled People) and ALINUR, a centre for special education.
The concert programme includes Silvan Negrutiu, a renowned Romanian pianist who will perform solo. The OFUA and Negrutiu will perform the Piano and Orchestra Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, popularly known as the Emperor Concerto, and Symphony No. 5 Op. 64 in E-minor by Tchaikovsky.
Concert schedule:
- March 20, 8 pm at UA's Paraninfo, benefit concert for ALINUR, €5.
- March 21, 8 pm at Casa de Cultura in Alfás del Pí, free admission.
- March 22, 11 am at UA's Paraninfo, family concert, adults €5.
- March 22, 8 pm at ADDA (Auditorium of Alicante), benefit concert for APSA, €15.
