During the day attendees enjoyed a breakfast of "Chocolate con churros" in the chocolate shop of Valor - a typical breakfast food of Spain.
Afterwards the trip went through the centre of the city of Elche towards the International Cultural Heritage of the Palmtree forrest of Elche, declared so by UNESCO in 2000. The members visited the museum of the Palm, with display of Palmerero climbing and a saw the craft of braided Palm (a traditional Easter symbol) and the gardens of Huerto del Cura where we could appreciate the native flora and palms, with the impressive and unique “Palmera Imperial” of 8 arms.
At 2pm Club members were able to taste typical of Elche "Rice with Crust" in a famous local restaurant.
